Films and TV
Peter Laufer is co-producer with journalist Jeff Kamen of the documentary film Exodus to Berlin, which was awarded the David Wolper Prize and is distributed by the National Center for Jewish Film at Brandeis University (www.jewishfilm.org).
After the Berlin Wall fell, the German government invited Soviet-bloc Jews to immigrate to Germany. The fastest growing Jewish community in the world is now Germany. Producers Jeff Kamen and Peter Laufer document this ironic reality and the concurrent rise of neo-Nazi violence.

Garbage:
For this KQED TV documentary, Peter Laufer followed the trail of a Berkeley family’s garbage from their kitchen to the dump and commissioned an artist to create a sculpture for the family of their own garbage, 1987.
